Group CEO

Clive Ramskill

BSc, BA (Hons), MSc, MRICS

As a founding member and Group CEO of Ramskill Martin, having been incorporated in 2002, Clive has presided over the Board of Directors for over 21 years. A business restructure in 2017 resulted in significant enhancements to the relevancy and delivery of Ramskill Martin’s Products and Services to its Clients’ businesses. Since then, the business has grown and developed its scope of technical capabilities and its unique approach to Working Closer with its Clients. All of this is contributory to the steady increase of Ramskill Martin’s Client base, 60% of which is founded on repeat business.

Clive has 44 years’ experience in the Construction Industry and gained his early experience working as a (fully indentured apprenticeship) time served Joiner. Being very ambitious, Clive pursued his objectives through personal development and commenced working as a Quantity Surveyor (Private Practice) in the 1980’s, becoming Chartered in 1990.

Business has always been Clive’s passion and, having completed a Business Degree and an MSc in Construction Law and Arbitration, setting up Ramskill Martin was the
obvious route to take 22 years ago.

Although Clive has a wealth of experience (also working in Contracting and Sub-Contracting, acting as Expert Witness or Expert Advisor for valuation and quantum matters, Dispute Avoidance and Dispute Resolution), his focus is to ensure that Ramskill Martin delivers the best “Business Solutions” for its Clients. This ethos was the driver for the introduction of Dispute Avoidance and Risk Management Products and Services offered by Ramskill Martin to its Clients since 2002.

Clive is passionate about Ramskill Martin’s Core Values; Technical Excellence and Improving the Quality of People’s Lives are just two key principles, which are underpinned with a culture of teamwork, inclusivity, personal development and support where people can achieve their full potential.

Outside of work, Clive spends his downtime with family or can be found amidst a woodwork project or with his nose in a book, ranging from World War 2 to Business Psychology or to novelists such as John Grisham and Val McDermid.
